The 30° scope is suited mainly for surgery in the posterior ethmoid and
sphenoid sinus areas. The 70° scope does have the view around the
corner what is a big advantage in the areas of the infundibulum of the
frontal sinus areas, the ethmoid and the maxillary sinus.
These Solos scopes strike a new path in the field of rigid scopes for
operative endoscopy. These optics have a flexible angle up to 15°, which
makes the product very robust and reliable. Because of their characteristics
and its brillant image these optics have already reached a high

A great variety of nasal specula are available. These two speculas are
more than sufficient for nasal sinus surgery. The medium-sized one for
the middle area where most operations are performed and a large
speculum for working in the depth of the nose. The medium-sized
speculum ia a Cottle speculum, and holding this elegant design in hand
will make you realize it as a precision instrument. Due to the broader
branches, which enable pushing aside more nasal tissue, the Killian
specula is useful for working in the anterior or posterior nasal areas. |
